Theatre Curtains
I received a call asking if I would be interested in installing theatre curtains in an auditorium at a local school. It was from Mike, a veteran in the field who has been involved in this area since the seventies.I said sure why not. Wow! Twenty one feet wide and twelve feet high. What an awakening to what heavy duty is all about in the drapery field. The funny thing is three days later I get a call from a customer asking if I was into stage curtains. So down to the clubhouse I went with my speed dial set up to call Mike. As it turns out they wanted them cleaned and received a bid of $2000.00. The have 3 sets of curtains. After talking to my new drapery mentor, it looks like my cost is going to hover around $3000.00. Mike offered to come look at the job on Tuesday and give me a better idea on what I should charge for this job. This should be interesting.
I received a call to give a quote on some vertical blinds in Coronado. The office wasn't that large. They ended up ordering two vertical blinds floor to ceiling in two offices. I noticed on the wall the name of their company and what they did. This was the office for Eset an antivirus software company. They are also know as Nod32. I was tired of Norton and all the problems it was causing with my computer so I did some research. I found this out: "Nod32 is the only antivirus program in the world which has not missed a single "In The Wild" virus in more than seven years in independent tests conducted by the prestigious antivirus industry trade journal,Virus Bulletin." Wow! anything that claims to be the best in the world gets my attention. They bought blinds from me, so I bought an antivirus program from them. It's been a couple of years and I haven't had any bugs what so ever. Goodbye Norton;Mcafee who? Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.
